Blah, blah blah. This book is almost exactly the same as the last one in the series. The plot was basically an episode of any crime show on TV except the detectives were werewolves and the bad guys were....well, if you really care read the book (but I don't recommend it!). Characters did not develop and the same old lines just kept being repeated. I gave it a fair try but I'm done with this series.

I think I enjoyed this book more than book #2 in the series. I (like A
...nna!) enjoy my police procedural shows, so the serial killer/whodunit plot struck a good note with me. (Although I could have done without the rapey overkill. The only good part about that part of the plot was that it ACTUALLY referred back to Anna's situation in the first book.)I liked Anna's characterisation in this book - she had a self-assurance that came across well, and I enjoyed the scenes from Leslie's POV (I hope we get more of her!) since we got to see our characters from an outsider's point of view. I liked the teasing, confident aspect of her relationship with Charles, although I was less enamored with Charle's guilt complex. The ending of the book has a nice "oh, SHIT" moment with the fae which promises to shake things up for the next book in the series.MoreLess
