This is a wonderful story written by Johanna Spyri in 1880 and devoted to a young girl who lost her parents and has to live with her quarrelsome grandfather in the Swiss Alps. As usual, the manner of writing of Johanna Spyri is amazing and carrying away. This book is not only intended for children but also gives a wonderful lesson to adults about freedom and its place in our life. When diving into the story, you understand the real value of liberty which we usually do not notice. Heidi loses her
...self and her freedom in the mountains and has to obey her grandfather in everything. Heidi cannot even go to the city where her cousin lives. Fortunately everything ends well and the main character remains happy and satisfied and readers feel amused and warm.
