He’d easily found a good place to hide his car and climb into a good, tall tree. Now the weather lady came from the house, two dogs bouncing out ahead of her like kicked rocks. They looked neither aware nor protective. The woman was very tall and dark-haired and Lejas could see by the way she smiled and shook the PI’s hand that there was something between them. Fine.
