Charles Hanson Towne (1877-1949) was an American author, poet, editor and lecturer. He was an editorial assistant for Cosmopolitan magazine before working as an editor on a number of magazines such as: The Smart Set (1904), The Delineator (1907-1910), Designer (1910-1915), McClure's (1914-1920), and Harper's Bazaar (1926-1929).
